James Mark Donaldson

James Mark Donaldson, 61, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Mark was born in Baltimore on August 23, 1955 and was a son of the late James and Dorothy McGowan Donaldson.

He attended schools in Caroline County. He served in the Army National Guard. On January 5, 2001, he married the former Ruth Majors. Mark had worked at Mallard Bay Care Center and at the time of his passing, Mark was employed at Chesapeake Woods Center. He enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions with his brother Michael. Mark also enjoyed fishing, boating, wood working and his animals.

Mark is survived by his wife Ruth Majors Donaldson of Cambridge, brothers and sisters Michael Stewart, Jerry Stewart, Deborah Creighton, and Jeffrey Donaldson and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mark is preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Stewart and Erma and Jack Davis who lovingly raised Mark as a child.

Pallbearers will be Paul Bishoff, Eddie Howard, Kenneth Majors, Josh Majors, Leon Majors and Ben Majors.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor George W. Wheatley, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
