Jane R. Fox

Jane R. Fox, 97, of Salisbury passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at her home. She was born in Madisonville, Kentucky on July 28, 1927 and was a daughter of the late John and Clara Prowse Denton.

On October 5, 1946 she married H. Douglas Fox who passed away on September 25, 2016. She loved sailing in her younger years, gardening and playing Bridge. The family would like to thank her friends and her caregivers Judy Simiulis, Mary Changlin, Robin Long, Dady L. Philogene and Manista Philogene.

She is survived by her son Andrew Fox and wife Janet of Sharptown, three grandchildren Katie Maldonado (Benny), Jessica Fox (Mike) and Justin Shifflett, six great grandchildren Benny, Demi and Dallas Maldonado, Madison Woodhouse, Brycen Cooper and Michael Hunt, and a special cousin Judith Roach. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Fox is preceded in death by a grandson Mason Andrew Hunt, and two sisters and a brother. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Old Trinity Churchyard with Pastor Maggie Gillespie officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wicomico Presbyterian Church, 129 Broad Street, Salisbury, MD 21801 or to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
