Jane T. McWilliams, 91, of Church Creek passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Cambridge on January 22, 1930 and was a daughter of the late James and Bertha Willey Todd.
Ms. McWilliams graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1948. She went to Eastern Shore State Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her LPN. Ms. McWilliams worked and retired from the Eastern Shore State Hospital Center and later worked at Pleasant Day Adult Day Care Center as a LPN. She enjoyed knitting, crafts, sewing, and gardening. Ms. McWilliams also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Patrick McWilliams and wife Lynn of Chance, MD, a daughter in law Tina McWilliams of Church Creek, six grandchildren Tracy Nichols (Jason), Amy Schuyler and husband Chucky, Michael McWilliams, Guy McWilliams (Stephanie), Chelsea Hill (Jason), Joci McWilliams, and nine great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Ms. McWilliams is preceded in death by a son Mark McWilliams and a granddaughter Dawn McWilliams.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2 pm at East New Market Cemetery with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Church Creek Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 16, Church Creek, MD 21622 or to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Face mask and social distancing is required.
