Janice R. Paul, 72, of Golden Hill passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born in Toddville on October 30, 1941 and was a daughter of the late Woodrow S. and Leona Jones Robinson.
She graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1959. On July 6, 1962, she married Melvin A. Paul, Jr. Mrs. Paul worked with her family business Paul's Pride Seafood for 22 years. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, playing bingo and reading. Mrs. Paul was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Toddville and Lakes a�"n- Straits Volunteer Fire Company.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Melvin A. Paul, Jr. of Golden Hill, a son Dwane Paul and wife Cindy of Golden Hill, two grandson Aaron Paul and fiance'e Katie Rue of Church Creek and Cody Paul of Golden Hill, a sister Charlotte Jones and husband Ellsworth of Cambridge, two brother in laws Bobby James and George Gray and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Paul is preceded in death by three sisters Millie Mae Robinson, Yvonne James and Dorothy Gray.
Pallbearers will be Dwane Paul, Aaron Paul, Cody Paul, Randy Jones, Marty Jones and Ellsworth Jones, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Gootee, Jordan Coffman and Ray Wands.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Michael LaClair officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Zion United Methodist Church, c/o Betsy Hughes, 2533 Toddville Road, Toddville, MD 21672.
