On January 2, 2023, after a brief illness, Mrs. Jeannie Milito was called home to heaven at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She died peacefully in her sleep.
On November 15, 1957, Jeannie Baylor was born in New Jersey. Jeannie was the single mother to one baby girl, Crystal, whom she loved and always talked about. She later met and married her husband the late Vito Milito. This blended family eventually moved back to Cambridge, Maryland where the Milito’s had several properties. Mrs. Milito reported she and her husband traveled enjoying music and artwork. The family enlarged with two additional daughters, Elena, and Stacey. Mr. Milito cared for his wife until his death. While Mrs. Milito struggled with mental illnesses, she loved and adored her children.
Mrs. Milito was a long-time resident of Northwest Nursing & Rehabilitation in Baltimore City where she was absolutely loved by the staff. She regularly held musicals in the activity room treating residents to her singing and drawings. She also loved knitting and making crafts.
Baltimore City Guardianship Division would like to thank all the staff of Northwest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Baltimore City DSS Legal Department, Barrett King-Hall Law Associates and Thomas Funeral Home for continually advocating for Mrs. Jeannie Milito.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 11:30 to 12 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge followed by a brief service at 12pm. Interment will be at a later date in Pocomoke, MD.
