Jesse Emanuel Eskridge

Jesse E. Eskridge, 84, Of Cambridge passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at his home. He was born in Church Creek on December 23, 1931 to the late Joseph H. and Nettie Insley Eskridge.

Jesse joined the United States Army. He married the late Flora V. Christopher on April 8, 1950. He worked for Cambridge Wire Cloth for 44 years as a machinist. They loved to spend their time in Chincoteague, VA. He enjoyed yard work and gardening.

He is survived by Lois Christopher his lifelong friend and companion for the last 14 years, his daughter Virginia Moskalyuk and fiancé Jason Johnson of Pocomoke City, a son Mark Eskridge of Cumberland, grandchildren Corey Murphy of Abingdon, Mary Murphy of Baltimore and Lacey Lewis of Bridgeville, DE, four great grandchildren Trent Murphy, David Lewis, Abigail Lewis and Ben Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and his parents he is preceded in death by four siblings Charles Eskridge, Ray Eskridge, Robert Eskridge and Margaret Dickerson.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to, Make A Wish Foundation Mid Atlantic Division,10920 Connecticut Ave. Suite 1600, Kensington, MD 20895. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
