Jessica Elaine (Travers) Travers-Montgomery

Jessica Elaine Travers-Montgomery, 31, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, with her family and friends by her side. She was born in Baltimore on August 3, 1984 and was a daughter of Wendell and Dianna Travers and Carole and Paul Furbush.

She graduated North Dorchester High School class of 2002. Jessica received her Med Tech from Chesapeake College. In 2002, she married Stephen Montgomery and of that marriage born two children Ariel and Brianna Montgomery. She enjoyed going to the gym, reading, shopping, cooking and spending time with her children.

In addition to her children and her parents, Jessica is survived by a sister Catherine Neal and husband Eric of Hurlock, a maternal grandmother Catherine Brinsfield of Reids Grove, grandparents Timmy and Peggy Cannon of Cambridge, several aunts Bessie Cohee, Hilda Ann Retallack, Elaine Daniels and Terri Reed and an uncle Russell Brinsfield. Jessica is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Charles Travers and Elizabeth Burton Travers, maternal grandfather Truitt Brinsfield and several aunts and uncle.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Montgomery, Richie Cheezum, Russell Brinsfield, Timmy Cannon, Joey Neal and Ron Hughes.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 at 2pm at Thomas Funeral Home, PA in Cambridge with Rev. Abe Lankford and Pastor Todd Carey officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been setup for Ariel and Brianna Montgomery, c/o Provident State Bank, 301 Crusader Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
