Joan Elaine Hall

Joan “Elaine” Hall, 69, of Hurlock, MD passed away at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. She was born in Cambridge Maryland on January 13, 1955. Elaine was the daughter of Joan Lane Webster and the late Thomas Hudson Hall. 

Elaine had a career in cleaning churches with the Dorchester Community Center. She was known for her sport enthusiasm especially for her love of basketball. In Elaine’s younger years, she competed in the Special Olympics for track. Her smile was contagious and brought happiness to everyone who knew her.

In addition to her mother, Elaine is survived by three brothers Tommy Hall (Colein), Willard “Perry” Hall (Annie) and Billy Webster (Teresa); two aunts Anna Mae Welcher and Rosemary Swann (Garland); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by two uncles Gilbert “Buddy” Lane and Billy Lane and two aunts Laura Rippons and Lovell Hubbard. 

Funeral services will be private. If friends wish to send memorial donations in memory of Elaine, the family suggests Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
