Joanne (Ewell) Tieder

Joanne Tieder, 66, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at her home. She was born in Cambridge on October 26, 1949 and was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Charlotte Airey Ewell.

Joanne attended schools in Cambridge. She worked as a caregiver for several families. Joanne enjoyed shopping, and sewing.  She was married to Johnny Tieder.

She is survived by two sons Corey Gibbs of Cambridge and Russell Ewell and wife Kim of East New Market, two grandchildren Kara and Joseph Ewell, one great granddaughter Kennedy Collins, a sister Joan Johnson and husband Roy of Secretary, a sister in law Joyce Ewell of Cambridge and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Tieder is preceded in death by a brother Joseph L. Ewell.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
