John D. Bradley, 76, of Salisbury passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. He was born in Cambridge on May 4, 1947 and was a son of the late Milton Bradley, Sr. and Dorothy Wingate Simms.
Mr. Bradley graduated from North Dorchester High School. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Bradley was married to the former Linda Brooks who passed away on January 14, 2022. He worked at Dorchester General Hospital and later worked for the Wicomico County Board of Education where he retired. Mr. Bradley enjoyed fishing, crabbing and was an avid Washington Redskin Fan.
He is survived by three children Traci Pethel of Michigan, Ginger Risher and husband Matt of Bivalve, and Janel Bradley of Cambridge, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, two step sons George Wharton of Salisbury and Gregory Newcomb of Salisbury, two step grandchildren Erica Booze and Kaitlyn Wharton, a sister Dottie Dukes and husband Tim of Laurel, DE, a brother Milton Bradley, Jr. and wife Joann of Salisbury, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Risher, Greg Newcomb, George Wharton, Zack Fields, Mike Bounds, and Ryan Shaw.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 12pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with his brother in law Rev. Tim Dukes officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
