Mr. Larrimore attended schools in Bridgeville, DE. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Larrimore had worked for the Cambridge Police Department, owned and operated Larrimore's Store in Secretary, was a waterman and was also a television repairman. On December 1, 1967 he married the former Geraldine Birch. He served on the Town Council in Secretary. He was an avid Baltimore Oriole fan and a Washington Redskin fan. He was a member of the Hurlock American Legion Post 243 and a member of the Secretary Volunteer Fire Company where he had served as President.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine Larrimore of Secretary, two sons Mike Larrimore and wife Susie of Secretary and Lee Larrimore and wife Dora of Snow Hill, five daughters Tina White and husband Kirk of Cambridge, Maureen Hansen of Secretary, Yvonne Brohawn and husband Wayne of Linkwood, Joyce Hines and companion Jonas Weaver of Federalsburg
and Karen Cook and husband Ronnie of Kentucky, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Larrimore is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Kirk White, Wayne Brohawn, Brandon Christopher, Jason Burton, Sam Yockey and Terry Hummer, Sr.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock with Military Honors. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Secretary Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 56, Secretary, MD 21664.
