Joseph "Joey" Daniel Parks

Joseph “Joey” D. Parks, 31, of Hoopers Island passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016. He was born in Cambridge on December 1, 1985 and was a son of Johnny A. Parks III and Joanie Bramble Parks.

Joey graduated Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 2003. He worked with his dad on the water. Joey enjoyed hunting, cars and especially trucks, bowling, softball, and hanging with family and friends.

Joey is survived by his parents Johnny and Joanie Parks of Hoopers Island, a brother Josh Parks and wife Kelly and a niece Hayley of Cambridge, his dog Jasper, his paternal grandmother Betty Parks of Hoopers Island, an aunt Janice Parks of Cambridge, two uncles Lance and Kay Bramble of South Carolina, Jeff and Michelle Bramble of Pocomoke, a cousin like a brother Wayne Startt, Jr. of Preston, his girlfriend Mandi Jones of Cambridge, special friend Randy Lee Willey and wife Fran of Hurlock and a host of other family and friends. Joey is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Morris Bramble, Gloria Bramble Todd and Reginald Todd, paternal John A. Parks, Jr., and all of his great grandparents and other extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Parks, Joanie Parks, Josh Parks, Janice Parks, Jeff Bramble, Wayne Startt, Jr. and Randy Lee Willey.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 12 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Chuck Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
