Joyce A. (Pollard) Newcomb

Joyce A. Newcomb, 84, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at The Pine’s in Easton. She was born in Denton on September 24, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Edward and Audrey Hicks Pollard.

She graduated from North Caroline High School. Mrs. Newcomb worked as a waitress for several business in Talbot County. She was married to Donald Newcomb, Jr., who passed away on April 14, 2001. Mrs. Newcomb enjoyed playing Keno, and solitaire. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Easton.

She is survived by a daughter Sheila Smith of Easton, two sons Tommy Passwaters of Easton, Eddie Passwaters of Florida, three grandchildren Tina Guffey, Roy Johnson, Jr. and Nichole Clendaniel, four great grandchildren Makayla Vasquez, Ever Velasquez, Hannah Guffey and Alexandra Guffey. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son William Dill, Jr., two brothers Billy Pollard and Buddy Pollard and a sister Gerry Breeding.

Per Mrs. Newcomb’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
