Joyce Ann Richardson, 62, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on February 23, 1951 to the late Wilbur F. Clark and Harriett B. Robbins Pritchett.
She graduated from Cambridge High School, class of 1969. Joyce worked for the Cambridge Salvation Army for 16 years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, traveling, listening to Conway Twitty and Elvis Presley, watching John Wayne movies and spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by two sons David Mills and wife Sharon of Salisbury and Steve Mills and wife Misty of Hurlock, one daughter Traci Wingate and husband Edgar of Linkwood, five grandchildren Haleigh Mills, Brittany Mills, Caitlin Mills, Jacob Mills and David Wright, Jr., three sisters Debbie Merryweather and husband Jim of Cambridge, Pamela Hayden and husband Tony of Cobb Island and Betty Edgar and husband Mike of Cambridge and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edward Paige Richardson and a brother Kenneth Clark.
Pallbearers will be James Merryweather, Michael Larrimore, Bobby McGrath, Darrell Ross, Orrington Searcey, and Josh Phillips.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Capt. Richard New officiating. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 6 to 8 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A.
