Juanita "Sis" Wroten, 77 of Cambridge, passed away at Dorchester General Hospital on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. She was born in Cambridge on August 18, 1933, and was a daughter of the late Goley Wesley and Lucy Irene Willey Insley.
She attended schools in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High school in 1951. On August 19, 1955 she was married to William M. "Babe" Wroten. For a number of years Sis had worked at Wroten's Market on Maryland Avenue in Cambridge. She enjoyed taking care of her home and her family. Sis was stricken at her home on Wednesday morning, and was taken to Dorchester General Hospital where she passed away.
Survivors include her husband William M. "Babe" Wroten on Cambridge, two daughters Vicki Bloodsworth and her husband Steve Bloodsworth of Cambridge, and Debbie Leh and her husband Eric Leh of Hurlock, one son William M. Wroten, Jr. of Cambridge, four grandchildren Stephen Bloodsworth, Cullen Bloodsworth, Wesley Wroten and Eric Leh, Jr. She is also survived by a brother Jamie Insley and his wife Doris Insley of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with her son in law, Steve Bloodsworth officiating.
