Katherine T. "Kitty" Dean

Katherine T. "Kitty" Dean, 82, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Dorchester County on February 9, 1930 and a daughter of the late Alice Frances Todd.
She attended school at Peachblossom. On April 28, 1946 she married Charles R. Dean. He passed away on July 19, 2001. She worked for Rob Roy, was a waitress and was a deli manager at Bobby Barkers Deli. She loved to cook and be with her family. She attended church at Open Bible Church.
She is survived by a daughter Frances E. Kuhn of Cambridge, two granddaughters Kay F. Schmidt and husband Wayne of East New Market and Katherine "Kitten" Tyler and husband Troy of Cambridge, five great grandchildren Ashley Young, Scott Cheesman, John Young, Jr., Katie Cheesman and Brooke Young and a great great grandson Evan Lednum.
Pallbearers will be Troy Tyler, Wayne Schmidt, Scott Cheesman, John Lee Young, Jr., Bill Leonard and Thomas Lee Miller, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. David Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock. Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Open Bible Academy, 1619 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
