Katherine Marie Faulkner

Katherine M. Faulkner , 61, of Preston passed away on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015 at the University Of Maryland Medical Center. She was born in Maryland on April 15, 1954 to Francis M. Stewart Blades and the late James O. Faulkner, Sr.

Katherine enjoyed cooking and entertaining, boating, dancing, singing, helping others in need and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Sherwood and her companion Mike Chandler of Preston and Jennifer Sherwood Insley and her husband Dal of Church Creek, five grandchildren Zachary Downes, Riley Hood and Emma Hood, all of Preston and Landon and Laila Insley of Church Creek,  her mother Francis M Blades and Step Father Paul of Cordova, five siblings, James O. Faulkner, Jr and wife Donna, Jack Faulkner and Wife Karen, John Faulkner and wife Susan, Richard Faulkner and wife Donna and Nancy Faulkner, and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cordova Fire Hall, Cordova, MD on Sunday, September 6th at 3:00 p.m. We would love to hear you share your memories of “ Kathy”. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P. A. in Cambridge, MD. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor directly to Thomas Funeral Home.
