Kathi Michele Mills Moxey, 37 of Woolford, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. She was born in Cambridge on April 28, 1973 and was a daughter of Cathy Abbott Donaldson and Daniel W. Mills.
Michele attended schools in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School as Valedictorian in 1991. She also attended and graduated summa cum laude from Salisbury University in 1995, with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. On March 19, 2004 she was married to Timothy S. Moxey, Sr. Michele had worked at Cambridge International for ten years as a computer software engineer and later she had worked at Easton Utilities as a computer software engineer. Michele enjoyed traveling, particularly taking cruises, camping and spending time with her children. She had been in failing health since January when she passed away at her home early Tuesday morning.
Survivors include her husband Timothy S. Moxey, Sr. of Woolford, one daughter Emily Hock of Woolford and five step children Scotty Moxey, Cody Moxey, Riley Shockley, Carley Shockley and Hillary Shockley all of Woolford. She is also survived by her mother Cathy A. Donaldson and her husband Jefferey L. Donaldson of Hurlock, her father Daniel W. Mills of Salisbury, two sisters Lauren Mills of Hurlock and Leigh-Anne Mills of Hurlock, maternal grandmother Mary Frances (Mom-Mom Eew) Dean of Wingate, maternal grandparents Mace and Darlene Abbott of Bishops Head, paternal grandparents Donald and Phyllis Mills of Bishops Head, grandmother Rosalie Bennett of Hurlock, mother and father in law Evelyn and Tony Rosetta of Taylors Island, three aunts Lynne Mills, Cherie Parry and Raye Abbott, three cousins Raven Bryan of Cambridge, Angela & Keith Purdum of Parksville and Bryan & Beth Abbott of Crapo, three sisters in law Karen Royer of Virginia, Donna Sanfino and her husband Ernie Sanfino of North Carolina, Mary Shellabarger of Salisbury and two brothers in law Tommy Moxey and his wife Doreen Moxey of Dundalk and Joe Moxey and his wife Geri Moxey of Virginia. She was preceded in death by a grandfather F. O'Neal Dean and two uncles Eddie Abbott and Michael Pritchett.
A funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the Countryside Christian Church on Austin Road near Cambridge with Evangelist Phil Sutton and the Rev. Robert G. Kirkley officiating. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Pallbearers will be Fred Christie, Scott Sears, Darnell Jacobs, Phillip Peerman, John White, Ted Book and Bart Shellabarger.
