Kathleen L. Frazier, 82, of Cambridge passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Mallard Bay Care Center where she had been a resident since February 26, 2010. She was born in Cambridge on October 28, 1927 to the late Morris and Hilda Dillon Mowbray.
Mrs. Frazier attended schools in Cambridge. On April 12, 1944 she married Roland Frazier, with whom she spent 40 wonderful years and raised 3 loving children. They made their home in Madison until Roland's death in 1984. It was then that she moved to Cambridge. Most of her life she was a homemaker. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching the Game Show Network. Kathleen was very active in the Madison United Methodist Church and the Madison Volunteer Fire Company ladies auxiliary, both of which she was a lifetime member. She had been in failing health since November and was hospitalize several times prior to her last admission on February 13, 2010 when she passed away Thursday morning.
She is survived by three children David Frazier, Darlene Frazier Brown and husband Kurt and Kathleen "Kitten" Frazier Burton all of Cambridge, five grandchildren Ashlie Elliott of Easton, Jeremy Burton, Patrick Hughes and Thomas "TJ"Gullion all of Cambridge and Connor Brown of St. Michaels, two great grandchildren Toby Hughes of Easton and Ethan Hughes of Cambridge, sisters Doris Marshall and Lois Jenkins and a brother Nathaniel "Buddy" Mowbray and wife Barbara all of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Frazier is preceded in death by a brother Morris "Sonny" Mowbray, two sisters Shirley Brohawn and Carolyn Colbourne and a very special sister in law Adith Frazier.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. and Rev. Kevin E. English officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Frazier had requested that donations be made in her name to the Madison Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 23, Madison, MD 21648. Pallbearers will be Patrick Hughes, Jeremy Burton, TJ Gullion, Phillip "Boy" Frazier, Michael Bradley, Kurt Brown, Jody Hughes and Wayne Mowbray. Honorary pallbearers are Woody Moran, Kenny Hubbard, Bobby Colbourne, Michael Colbourne and Chuck Colbourne. A
