Kenneth L. Hubbard

Kenneth L. Hubbard, 67, of Fruitland passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cambridge on June 13, 1943 and was a son of the late Norman Hubbard and Rosalie Frazier Moran.
He graduated from Cambridge High School. He served and retired from the U.S. Army serving 27 years. Mr. Hubbard was working as a crossing guard for the Wicomico County School Board. He was a member of the Legion Riders in Salisbury, and several different American Legions and V.F.W.'s.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie J. Hubbard of Fruitland, two sisters Brenda Gutierrez of Laurel, DE and Ruth Ann Travers of Rhodesdale, a brother Woodrow Moran of Hudson, two stepchildren Lester Adkins of Fruitland and Jenny Adkins of New Jersey. Besides his parents, Mr. Hubbard is preceded in death by a sister Carol Clary.
Members of the Legion Riders will serve as pallbearers.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at noon at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock with Pastor David Stewart officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
