Laura E. Jenkins

Laura Ellen Jenkins, beloved wife of the late William R. Jenkins, of Taylors Island went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2013. She was born March 11, 1928 and was 84. She is survived by loving longtime companion Cecil Wood.
She is also survived by three sons Douglas Parker and wife Debra, Curtis Parker and wife Lois and William C. Jenkins, two daughters Pam McElroy and husband Ray and Paula Kelley and husband Adam and a stepmother to Barbara Fox. Dear grandmother to Jason, Brad, Meredith, Chris, Lisa, Ashley, Courtney, Abigail, Amber, Justin, Eric (deceased), and Jeffrey. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 9th at The Taylors Island United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert G. Kirkley officiating. A fellowship lunch will follow at The Island Grille Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Taylors Island United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Taylors Island, MD, 21669. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
