Linda M. Spicer, 73, of Church Creek passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Andrews on July 14, 1950, and was a daughter of the late George Guy McGlaughlin and Dorothy Wroten McGlaughlin.
Linda graduated from South Dorchester High School class of 1968. On August 14, 1971, she married the love of her life, Lingan T. Spicer. Together they formed Holly Lane Farms, where she was integral to the success of the business and was an active partner with her husband and son Jason. Linda was an active member of White Haven United Methodist Church and her community. She enjoyed spending time in her yard and collecting tomato labels. She was the backbone of her family, always putting others before herself. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Sophie.
She is survived by her husband Lin Spicer, two sons, Jason Spicer and wife Holly, and Buzz Spicer and wife Stacey, a granddaughter, Sophie Lynn Spicer, two sisters, Amanda Henry and husband Hanks and Debbie McGlaughlin, sister-in-law Jeanne Phillips, brother-in-law Harry Phillips and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Spicer is preceded in death by a son, Michael Spicer and a sister Penny Snelling.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 1pm at Old Trinity Churchyard with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802 or to Oak Grove Foundation, P.O. Box 40, Fishing Creek, MD 21634. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
