Lottie M. King, 77, of Cambridge departed this earth to be with the Lord on December 15, 2015 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Robbins on November 20, 1938 and was the daughter of the late William Parks Abbott and Lorraine Robbins Abbott.
Lottie attended schools in Dorchester County and resided in Robbins in her younger life before moving to Cambridge where she remained until her passing. Mrs. King worked at Rob Roy Sewing Factory and as a waitress before retiring. Lottie was a special woman, she would go without herself to do for others. She loved to go shopping with her husband and daughter and go out to dinner with family. She also enjoyed spending time with her cats and doing cross word puzzles, and loved to cook up fancy meals when her health was good.
Lottie leaves behind her husband Ray King of Cambridge, daughter Tammy Smith and husband Bill of Cambridge, son Edward Brown and wife Cindy of Eden, a stepdaughter Carol King of Eldorado, two granddaughters Tiffany Mowery and husband Patrick of Cambridge and Brittany Baker and husband Scott of Sharptown, three great grandchildren Autumn and Ethan Mowery of Cambridge and Mabel Baker of Sharptown, sisters Mae Fitzhugh, Joy Hohlbein and Loretta Dibble all of Cambridge, half sisters and half brothers Shirley Hicks, Marie Dryden, Harvey Abbott, Sr., Mary Diana Jones, Wylie Abbott, Carolyn Simmons, Parks Abbott Barbara Jean Willey and James Abbott and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Betty Hastings and Ramona Lankford, two brothers William Abbott and Harold Abbott and half sister Darlene Kimble.
As per Lottie’s request services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mallard Bay Care Center Recreation Fund, 520 Glenburn Ave., Cambridge, MD 21613 or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
