Louise R. Creighton

Louise R. Creighton, 92, of Church Creek passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Chesapeake Woods Center. She was born in Taylors Island on November 4, 1920 and was a daughter of the late George W. and Lue Berlie Wallace Ruark.

Mrs. Creighton attended schools in Dorchester County. Mrs. Creighton married John M. "Jack" Creighton, who passed away on February 1, 2012. She was employed by the Eastern Shore State Hospital Center in the Dietary Department. Mrs. Creighton enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a member of Taylors Island United Methodist Church and Church Creek Volunteer Fire Company.

She is survived by a sister Norma Lee Richardson of Cambridge, a sister in law Beverly Creighton of Church Creek and several cousins. Besides her parents and her husband Mrs. Creighton is preceded in death by two brother in laws Earl Creighton and Donald Richardson.

Pallbearers will be Robert Brooks, Adam Kelley, Roy Robinson, Larry Dail, Jay Newcomb and Bill Moosegian. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerome Shenton, Edgar Ruark and Arthur Todd.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Robert G. Kirkley and Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Church Creek Volunteer Fire Company, P.O.
