Madeline L. Shenton

Madeline L. Shenton, 84, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on November 9, 1926 on Taylors Island and was a daughter of the late Joseph A. Lambdin and Anita Horseman Sears.

Mrs. Shenton graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1943. On July 3, 1954 she married Jerome H. Shenton. She worked for Craig's Drug Store and retired after 30 years. She was member of Chaplain Memorial Church in Taylors Island.

She is survived by her husband Jerome H. Shenton of Cambridge, a sister in law Margaret B. "Peggy" Shenton, two nephews Charles Lambdin of Annapolis and Barry R. Shenton of Richmond, VA, three nieces Margaret Ann Shenton of Trappe, Darlene Shenton Spangler of Charleston, WVA and Jenny Lynn Mayhew of Annapolis and four great nieces Stephanie Shenton, Jacquelyn Leonard both of Trappe, Jennifer Grant of Charleston, WVA and Anina J. Mayhew of Annapolis, a great nephew Thomas Spangler of Tampa, FL and a godson Travis Todd of Cambridge. Besides her parents, Mrs. Shenton is preceded in death by two sisters Marguerite Wilcox and Joyce Johnson and a brother Charles C. Lambdin, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Chucky Lambdin, Roy Todd, Travis Todd, Chuck Kelly, Barry Shenton and Gary Burkey.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Robert G. Kirkley officiating. Burial will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093 or to Chaplain Memorial Church in Taylors Island, MD 21669.
