Margaret S. Greenwood

Margaret E. Greenwood, 82, of Hurlock passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Easton on August 14, 1931 and was a daughter of the late Bradford Coleman Swann and Vera Schall Swann.
She attended schools in Dorchester County. In 1949, she married Julius Greenwood, Sr., who passed away on June 19, 2007. Mrs. Greenwood had worked for Bumble Bee Seafood in Cambridge and later worked at ConAgra where she retired. Mrs. Greenwood was a member of the Cambridge Moose Lodge.
She is survived by three sons Julius "Butch" Greenwood, Jr. of Cambridge, William "Billy" Greenwood and wife Lydia of Hurlock and Mike Swann and wife Kathy of Hurlock, two daughters Helen Anderson and husband Glenn of Cambridge and Viola Mowbray of Hurlock, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers William H. Swann and wife Rebecca and Melvin "Dutch" Swann and wife Bobbie Sue both of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Greenwood is preceded in death by a brother Carlton P. Swann and a sister Ruth Ann Adkins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. at East New Market Cemetery with Pastor Dave Stewart officiating. Family will receive friends at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A from 12 to 1 p.m.
