Margaret Gore "Mane" Moosegian of Cambridge passed away quietly at her home on March 9, 2011. She was 91 and was born in Crapo, MD on July 18, 1919 and was a daughter of the late William Irving Gore and Beulah Kirwan Gore.
Mrs. Moosegian moved to Cambridge at an early age and attended all schools in Cambridge. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1936. Margaret worked for Nathan's Furniture Store for 12 years. The next 14 years, she worked at Mills Diary, then 7 years at American Year Book. Her last 12 years before retirement was for the State of Maryland Highway Department. She retired in 1984. She was a charter member of Quota International of Cambridge. She was also a past member of the Eastern Star and Ladies Oriental Shrine. Margaret was known as "Mane" by all the relatives. She was given the name by her great nephew Brian Harrington, when he was 2 years old and the name stayed with her the rest of her life. Two of "Manes" favorite hobbies were traveling and playing the slots at Casino's and loved her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband William Moosegian whom she married on November 27, 1952 on Thanksgiving Day. She is also survived by a niece Diane Harrington and husband David, a nephew Irving Gore, a niece Bonnie Gore, a niece Linda Coffman and husband Charles, a niece Joann Delano and a niece Diana Hollis, great nephews Brian Harrington and wife Jennifer, Brooke Harrington, Luther Ruark, Jr. and wife Jenny, Charles Coffman, Jason Coffman and Tony Eskridge, great nieces Carol Lane and husband John, Jaime Herd and husband Matt, Tracey Newnam, Kim Delano, Kelly Delano and Nicki Delano, great grand nephews and nieces Jonathan Harrington, Courtney Harrington, Ashley Harrington, Chase Harrington, Kendall Harrington, Jenna Ausmussen, John Lane, Jr., Jared Ruark, Chase Ruark, Jordan Coffman, Aliza Coffman, Gage Newnam and Lindsey Newnam, cousins Wendell Foxwell, Charles Foxwell, Sue Murrill, Nancy Robinson, Russell Kirwan, Phillip Kirwan and Patricia Elzey, two sisters in law Margaret Carroll and husband Milton and Marian Gore. Besides her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by two brothers Edgar Gore and William W. Gore and a niece Sheryl Gore.
Pallbearers will be Brian Harrington, Brooke Harrington, John Lane, Sr., Matt Herd, Luther Ruark, Jr., Charles Coffman, Sr. and Jason Coffman.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Quota International of Cambridge, P.O. Box 1236, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Shore Office, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21801. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
