Margaret Ann Ruark, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on June 25, 1936 and was a daughter of the late Milton and Bessie Wroten Elzey.
Mrs. Ruark attended schools in Cambridge. On March 23, 1979, she married Cyril Ruark, who passed away on April 24, 1989. Mrs. Ruark worked at Airpax.
She is survived by a daughter Sharon Wilson and husband Steve of Bradenton, FL, a sister Patricia Robbins and husband Roy of Cambridge, a brother S. Kenneth Elzey of Bucktown and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Ruark is preceded in death by a granddaughter Katie Foxwell Murray, two sisters Frances Goodiel and Mary Katherine Warfield, five brothers Edgar Elzey, John Elzey, James Elzey, Russell Elzey and Richard Elzey.
Pallbearers will be Steve Barnes, Raymond Asplen, C.R. Newman, David Asplen, Scott Elzey and Kent Elzey.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613.
