Margaret Anne Tyler, 66, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 with her loving family by her side at the Talbot House (of the Pines), where she had been a hospice patient for 10 days. She fought a valiant, courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer for 2 years. She was born on December 6, 1942 in Cambridge, and was the daughter of the late Oliver Preston and Margaret Mills Tyler.
She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1960. Prior to becoming a phenomenal stay at home mother, she had worked as a clerk for both the Comptroller's Office in Annapolis and the Dorchester County Treasurer's Office. On August 28, 1968 she married Charles Wright Foxwell Jr. In the early 80s she helped him on Saturday evenings at Foxwell Auctions, Inc., their family business, and worked as an office manager. In 1986, she began a career at Delmarva Community Services as a transportation coordinator where she continued to work until her health no longer allowed. She had been honored for her commitment and dedication to this agency on several occasions.
She loved music, but played the accordion, piano and sung while growing up at the Cambridge Wesleyan Church as a child and teen. She loved people and cherished her family. She was a friend to many and loved by many. She also enjoyed traveling with friends, children and grandchildren. She was her children's and grandchildren's greatest "cheerleader"- always offering the wise word and a positive attitude that was unstoppable. She will also be sorely missed by her feline companion, Frank. She was actively involved in her children's schools, church and community. Although she was born in Cambridge and lived there in most recent years, as a family she had resided in Trappe and Easton while her children were growing up. She had an infectious smile and was known for wearing a smile and positive attitude no matter what the circumstance.
She is the beloved mother of three children. She is survived by two daughters: Alisha F. Saulsbury and her husband Jeff of Easton, Tara Anne Foxwell of Royal Oak, one son Shane A. Foxwell of Cambridge, three grandchildren Lucas Tyler Saulsbury, Tucker Benjamin Saulsbury and Karli Jean Saulsbury all of Easton, one sister Naomi Ruth Eason and her husband Robert of Georgia, one brother Paul O. Tyler and his wife Barbara of Cambridge, two aunts Olive Bramble and her husband William of Cambridge, Virginia Brohawn Vincent of Homestead Manor, Denton and several nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother who died at childbirth.
