Marian H. Slacum passed away at her home with her family by her side on February 11, 2018. She was born in Cambridge, Maryland on December 23, 1932 to parents Dorothy Deatrich Hoge and Earle E. Hoge. Raised in Cambridge, she graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1949.
She maintained a close relationship with classmates throughout her life.
Marian is survived by her daughter Carrie B. Slacum (Rusty), son Brian E. Slacum, granddaughters Cheryl A. Slacum (Bret, fiance) and Madeline M. Fishpaw, grandsons Christopher A. Slacum and Evan B. Fishpaw and a granddaughter-in-law Shawna Slacum and 2 great grandsons Karter and Kamden Slacum. Also surviving is sister Doris H. Weber, niece Gail Skinner (Gene), nephews Chuck Weber (Cathy), David Weber and Patrick Weber (Phyllis) and Special God Child Amy Aldridge Wohl.
Ms. Slacum’s body has been donated to the Anatomy Board For Research and Education. A Visitation and celebration of life will be held for family and friends at Katie Mae’s Country Restaurant located at 530 Poplar Street in Cambridge, Maryland on February 18, 2018 from 1pm to 3pm.
