Marian Agnes (Johnston) Woodring

Marian A. Woodring, 88, of Locust Grove, Virginia passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in DuBois, Pennsylvania on January 18, 1928 to the late Richard L. and Agnes Anderson Johnston.
On December 31, 1966, she married the late John James Woodring, who passed away on October 28, 2014. She worked as a secretary for the government for over 20 years. She loved traveling with her husband, especially enjoyed rving around the country together. She lived in Virginia until the passing of her husband, when she moved to Cambridge to live with her grandson, Jason. Mrs. Woodring took great pleasure in spending time with her cherished great granddaughter, Madelyn. She enjoyed socializing, gathering with friends and family, and caring for others.
Mrs. Woodring is survived by two grandsons, Jason Bierley, Brian Bierley, and stepchildren Doug and Laurie Woodring. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Woodring is preceded in death by a daughter, Cheri Bierley.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
