Marie J. Trice, 92, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born on November 17, 1921 in Secretary and was a daughter of the late Charles A. Lauck and Susie Ann Kimmey Lauck.

She graduated from East New Market High School. On May 5, 1951, she married William R. Trice, who passed away on April 2, 2012. She was employed as a cafeteria worker for the Dorchester County Public School. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing cross word puzzles. She attended the First Baptist Church in Cambridge and St. Luke's Church in Secretary.

She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Griffith and husband Ed of Cambridge, a grandson Marty Andrews of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews. Also she is survived by her extended family Donna Sue Cohee and Kaye Smith. Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter Lisa Phillips, twelve brothers and sisters Irene Brickner, Lily Elliott, Bertha Skipper, Alma "Tootsie" Willoughby, Mary Jane Wells, Weldon "Tittle" Lauck, Donald "Bob" Lauck, Roy Lauck, George Lauck, Harry "Bondy" Lauck, Wilbur "Mike" Lauck and Chester "Check" Lauck.

Pallbearers will be Darcy Willoughby, Wayne Potter, Andy Engle, Marty Andrews, Bill Wise and Judd Vickers.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. Luke's Church in Secretary with Pastor Bob King and Pastor Steve Trice officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are in care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
