Marlane Elizabeth (Slone) Keener

Marlane Elizabeth Keener, 76, of Madison, MD passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021.  She was born in Baltimore City on September 26, 1944 to the late Emmett and Cecelia Slone.  Mrs. Keener was married to her late husband Shirley “Sonny” Bernard Keener on August 12, 1962.  She retired from Random House Publishing in Westminster, Maryland, and subsequently from Wal-Mart in Cambridge, Maryland.  The thing she enjoyed most was time with her family.

She is survived by three children:  Edward Bernard Keener, Shirley Louise Howard and husband Malcolm, and David William Keener and wife Melissa, all of Madison; six grandchildren: Justin Keener, Krystle Stouffer, Jimmy Stouffer and wife Bethany, Cody Cool, Emily and Riley Keener; two great-grandchildren: Martin Lee Era, Jr., and Addely Elizabeth Stouffer; and three siblings: Emmett Slone, Jr., Martin Slone, and Mary Taxacher.

Per Marlane’s request, there will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust St, Cambridge, MD 21613.
