Mary Alice Gore

Mary Alice Gore, 81, passed away at home, in Cambridge, on November 14, 2023. Born in Lebo, Kansas on April 17, 1942, Mrs. Gore was the daughter of the late Sherman A. Fisher and Francis Elvira Sloan.

Mary Alice was a 1960 graduate of Auburn High School in Kansas and received an RN degree in Mississippi. She became a traveling nurse and ended up with a career at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, MD. Her husband was Emmett Gore, Jr. who passed away on February 7, 2020.

Mrs. Gore had two brothers Ed Fisher and Ace Fisher, a special niece Lisa Dietrich and many loved and special family members. Besides her parents, Mrs. Gore is preceded in death by two sisters Darlene and Patti.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bay Country Church or to Baywater Animal Rescue.
