Mary Ann Foxwell, 84, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on April 2, 1925 and was a daughter of the late Charles B. and Lizzie Jones Todd.

Mrs. Foxwell graduated from Cambridge High School in 1942. On April 2, 1943 she married Kermit L. Foxwell. He passed away on September 12, 1994. She was a bus driver for the special education children in Dorchester County for 19 years. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and also was a member of the United Methodist Women for several years.

She is survived by a son Kermit L. Foxwell, Jr. of East New Market, two grandchildren Bambi Dawn Yost and husband Brian of Cambridge and Wesley Eric Foxwell of Cambridge, a step grandson Howard Elzey and wife Carrie and their daughter Emily of Hurlock, three sisters Betty Jean Jones and husband Donald of Salem, Isabelle Phillips of Salem and Patricia Hurley and husband Chuck of East New Market and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Foxwell is preceded in the death by a daughter in law Katherine M. Foxwell, two brothers Insley Todd and Charles W. Todd, four sisters Elizabeth Lyons, Frances Wrightson, Josephine Brinsfield and Dorothy Matthews.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, c/o Lisa Morris, 2115 Liners Road, Church Creek, MD 21622.
