Mary Esther (Tull) Jenkins

Mary E. Jenkins, 91, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at UMSMC at Dorchester. She was born in Hallwood, VA on February 26, 1925 and was a daughter of the late Jessie and Lelia Lang Tull.

On February 11, 1946 she married Phillip T. “Tom” Jenkins, Sr. who passed away on December 12, 1997. Mrs. Jenkins was a sales lady for many years at Edgar's & Frank Wright’s Clothing Store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cambridge and the Cambridge Elks.

She is survived by a daughter Debbie Johnson and husband Sarge of Cambridge, two grandchildren Phillip T. Jenkins III (Stephanie) and Amy Patterson (Steve), four great grandchildren Josh Cook, Shelby Cook (Abby), Brooke Jenkins, and Ryan Patterson and a great great grandson Jonathan Schwartz. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Jenkins is preceded in death by a son Phillip T. Jenkins, Jr., a sister Thelm Bayly and two brothers Matthew Tull and Edward Tull.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11 am at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery with Pastor Steve Trice officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church, 501 Glenburn Avenue, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
