Mary E. Parks

On Sunday, September 28th 2014, Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Parks passed away peacefully at home in the company of loved ones, she was 87.

Originally from Brandenburg, Kentucky, Libby moved her family to Cambridge in 1962 where she worked for many years as a hairdresser. She loved her clients, her garden, and spending time with family and friends, she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sons, Richard L. Parks of Cambridge and Herbert B. Parks of Greensboro NC, her daughter in law, Jacqueline Parks of Cambridge and seven grandchildren, Glenn Parks of Seattle, Washington, Melody Parks-Saylor of Salisbury, Heather Erzine, Christopher Parks, Selena Parks, Jesse Parks, and Diamond Parks, all of Greensboro NC, and one great grandson, Ian Saylor of Salisbury, three sisters, Judy Angeloff, and Cathy Staples, both of Brandenburg, Kentucky, Dorothy Whitehead of Roanoke, Virginia, and one brother, Herbert Chism of Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Nelson Parks.

A private graveside service will be held for family. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
