Mary E. “Emmie” Triplett, 89, of Towson passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson. She was born in Cambridge on August 10, 1925 and was a daughter of the late Harvey and Celeste Spedden Triplett.
She graduated from Cambridge High School. Ms. Triplett, moved from Cambridge, during WWII and was employed with Armco Steel until she retired in the 1980’s. After retiring, Ms. Triplett volunteer at Keswick Retirement Center. She enjoyed traveling and going the theaters. Ms. Triplett would often come back to Cambridge to visit family and friends.
She is survived by two nieces Anne Henry of Huntingdon, PA, and Jean Henry of Delmar, MD, two nephews Timothy Henry and Mark Henry both of Cambridge, two cousins Bill and Steve Valliant, two great nephews Mike and Matthew Henry and a great niece Olivia Henry. Besides her parents, Ms. Triplett is preceded in death by a sister Julia Triplett Henry and a nephew David Henry.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. William Davis officating. Family will receive friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803.
