Mary K. Warfield

Mary K. Warfield, 82 of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on September 9, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Milton and Bessie Wroten Elzey.
Mrs. Warfield attended schools in Cambridge. In 1955, she married Medford Warfield, Jr. She worked and retired from Caldwell Casting. Mrs. Warfield enjoyed cross word puzzles, word search and cooking.
She is survived by her husband Medford Warfield, Jr. of Ocean Pines, three daughters Gloria Asplen and husband Raymond of Woolford, Barbara Barnes of Cambridge and Vicki Harris and husband David of Ocean Pines, five grandchildren Gary Asplen, David Asplen, Steve Barnes, Eric and Jessica Lewis, five great grandchildren, two sisters Margaret Ruark and Pat Robbins and husband Roy and a brother Kenny Elzey, all of Cambridge. Besides her parents, Mrs. Warfield is preceded in death by a sister Francis Goodeal and five brothers Edgar Elzey, Russell Elzey, James Elzey, Richard Elzey and Johnny Elzey.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Dave Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
