Michael M. Brittingham

Michael M. Brittingham, 38, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. He was born in Cambridge on December 1, 1972 and was a son of Jesse L. Brittingham, Sr. and the late Sandra Matson Brittingham.

Mike graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 1991. On May 29, 1999 he married Jeni D. Brittingham. She passed away on February 22, 2011. Mike was working for Berkel Construction Company. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, going to the gym and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by three sons Michael G. Brittingham, Matthew G. Brittingham and Brandon W. Brittingham all of Cambridge, his father Jesse L. Brittingham, Sr. of East New Market, a brother Jesse L. "Jay" Brittingham and wife Penny of Cambridge, three sisters Amanda K. Purnell and husband Shannon of East New Market, Dawn Shorter of Cambridge and Lisa D'Onofrio of East New Market and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be BJ Middleton, Troy Hubbard, Jay Brittingham, Jr., Lucas Patrick, Dennis Grafton, Danny Bell, Frank Whirley and Christopher Mac Turnell.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Fred Bahr officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A savings fund has been set up for his sons, c/o Harold Gene Warfield, Jr. to the National Bank of Cambridge, P.O.
