Mildred Grace (Pohl) Booze

September 15, 1934 — October 8, 2017

Mildred G. Booze, 83, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Homestead Manor in Denton. She was born on September 15, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Grace Hall.

She attended schools in Dorchester County. On October 7, 1950, she married Fred Booze, who passed away on July 28, 2001. They were happily married for 50 years.  Mrs. Booze worked at Rob Roy as a seamstress and later worked at the Eastern Shore State Hospital for 25 years. She enjoyed boating with her husband, going to lunch with her friends and spending time with her family. Mrs. Booze was a member of the Cambridge Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her daughter in law Margie Booze of Centerville, three grandchildren Michael Booze of Florida, Andrew Booze and wife Heather of Kent Island and Jennifer Ewing and husband Trevor of Dover, a great granddaughter Lauren Booze and a great grandson Carter Ewing. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Booze is preceded in death by her son Randy Booze, four brothers Buster, Maynard, Fred, Henry, and a sister Alice.

Pallbearers will be Michael Booze, Andrew Booze, Judith Kahn, Tommy Foxwell, Ricky Bradshaw Sr. and Rick Bradshaw Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Jack Diehl officiating. Interment will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cambridge Wesleyan Church, c/o Doris Brashier, 801 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.
