Mildred E. Noren, 95 of Easton formerly of Salisbury passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Chesapeake Woods Center in Cambridge. She was born on August 7, 1914 in Deepwater, Missouri and was a daughter of the late Hugh and Sallie Rose Christian.
Mrs. Noren graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa, class of 1932. In 1937 she married Elmer D. Noren. He passed away in 1979. Most of her life she was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing golf and playing bridge. Mrs. Noren was a member of the Junior Board at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and a member at Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury where she volunteered in the church office.
She is survived by a son Robert Dee Noren and his wife Mary of Fallentimber, PA, a daughter Mary Kay Noren and companion Don A. Andrew of Easton, three grandchildren Cara Dee Baginski of Palmyra, NY, Robert Dee Noren Jr. of Fallentimber, PA and Jessica Lynn Noren of Fallentimber, PA, 3 great grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth Baginski, Leah Baginski and Evan Dee Baginski all of Palmyra, NY and several nieces and nephews. It says a lot about who she was that her children's friends became part of the family; Ted Dykes and Beverly Perdue Jennings were always Number 2 son and daughter. The numbering for those not old enough to remember was the way Charlie Chan referred to his children. Besides her parents and her husband, four brothers precede Mrs. Noren in death.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD with her son Robert Dee Noren officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
