Milton E. Higgins

Milton E. Higgins, 76, of Taylors Island passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Dorchester General Hospital. He was born in Cambridge on July 13, 1933 and was a son of the late Harry L. and Ida Moore Higgins.

Mr. Higgins graduated from Cambridge High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 until he received his honorable discharge in 1956. He worked for DNR and retired after 26 years of service. He enjoyed crabbing and fishing.

He is survived by a sister Audrey D. Johnson of Cambridge, a brother James Ward Higgins, Sr. and wife Marilyn of Hurlock, a sister in law Treva Higgins and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by a sister Alverta Dunivin and four brothers William Lee Higgins, Harry Jerome Higgins, Merritt Higgins and Richard Murrell Higgins.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
