Nancy B. Cannon

Nancy Bundy Cannon, 92, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on May 27, 1932 and was a daughter of the late Thaddeus Frontus Rawls (T.F. Rawls) and Ethel Whitesell Rawls. 

Ms. Cannon graduated from school in South Carolina. She left Rock Hill in 1955 to join the U.S. Air Force where she served in communications for 9 ½ years. Ms. Cannon was stationed in Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, Hawaii, and later at Keesler Air Base in Mississippi and two years in Germany. She left the Air Force in 1966. After leaving the Air Force she lived in Missouri and Mississippi before moving to Cambridge in 1978. Ms. Cannon had worked at Airpax, Mailwell and at the Dorchester Center of the Arts. She was a member of Bucktown Methodist Church and the YMCA. Ms. Cannon also volunteered at the Lutheran Mission. 

She is survived by a daughter in law Sharon Cannon, two grandchildren A.J. Cannon and wife Katie and their daughter Ellie and Gillian Cannon, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ms. Cannon is preceded in death by a son Andrew S. Cannon, Sr., two sisters Doris R. Lewis and Frances Romain and two brothers William Martin Rawls, Sr. and T.F. “Sonny” Rawls.  

A celebration of life will be held on Monday March 3, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. at 11 A.M. with Rev. Shelley McCollister officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11.
