Nelson M. Mills, Jr.

Nelson M. Mills, Jr., 74, passed away Monday November 27 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury Maryland. He was born December 31, 1948 and raised in Toddville, Maryland and was son of the late Nelson Mace Mills, Sr. He was raised by his aunt Bertle Pritchett whom he called mom.

He graduated from South Dorchester High School Class of 1966. Mr. Mills owned and operated Nelson‘s body shop in Cambridge. For 35 years he lived on the western shore. He was a self-employed as a junk man. Marbin Ramos was like a son to him and Nelson was married Barbara Jackson. Mr. Mills loved Corvette’s and was a member of the Eastern Shore Corvette Club and he enjoyed growing his own vegetables in his garden.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11am at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
