Nettie M. Todd, 87, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Cambridge on July 11, 1922 and was a daughter of the late Irvin and Nettie Robinson Lloyd
.
Mrs. Todd attended schools in Dorchester County. She was an homemaker. On June 29, 1940 she married William P. Todd. He passed away on August 3, 2003. She loved cats, collecting bears, watching sports and soap operas. She attended Souls Harbor Church of God.
She is survived by a son Kenneth "Kenny" Todd of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Donna Carpenter of Trappe and William Carmine of North Carolina, three great grandchildren, Kyle Brooks, McLane Carpenter and Rachel Carpenter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Carmine and a son William P. "Buddy" Todd, three brothers Irvin Lloyd, Orville Lloyd and Arthur Lloyd and two sisters Phoebe Lloyd and Goldie Crawford.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Todd, Planner Windsor, David Carpenter, Terry Crannell, Bill Brooks and Donnie Todd.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. J. Edward King and Rev. Pardee Bramble officiating. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
