Norbert V. Radtke

Norbert V. Radtke, 92, of Parkville passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Medstar Franklin Square Medical Center. He was born in Wisconsin on February 28, 1925 and was a son of the late Edward J. and Sarah “Sadie” Radtke.
Mr. Radtke graduated from University of Wisconsin and attended grad school at Drexel. He was a mechanic engineer for several companies including DuPont, Black & Decker, Westinghouse and SKF. Upon his retirement, he, his wife and daughter traveled extensively around the world. Norbert and his wife entered Oak Crest Retirement Community in 2013. He was a long standing member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lutherville, MD. Later was attending Oak Crest Protestant Ministry. Mr. Radtke’s wife, the former Jean Tull passed away on May 16, 2016.
He survived by his daughter Dr. Nancy Radtke of Mechanicsburg, PA. Besides his parents and his wife, he is preceded in death by a son Edward Radtke and a brother Maynard Radtke.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 to 1. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Research Foundation, 3152 Little Road, Suite 146, Trinity, FL 34655.
