Norma Lee Lantz, 71, of Cambridge passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at her home. She was born on February 11, 1946 in Cambridge and was the daughter of the late Henry L. Dixon and Sadie V. Harper Dixon.
She attended schools in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1964. On November 26, 1969, she married James Donald Lantz, who passed away December 18, 2014. Mrs. Lantz worked at the former Chevrolet/Oldsmobile dealership, B. J. Linthicum’s, for some time before she left to be a devoted homemaker. She also worked part-time at Bob North’s Service Station for many years until her health began to fail in 2009. Mrs. Lantz was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters Gail Lantz and Debbie Shockley and husband Gary, a grandson Connor Shockley and fiancée Megan O’Malley, a sister in law Marge Lantz, great aunt Olive Harper, great aunt and uncle Ann and George Harper, several nieces, nephews, cousins, special caregivers Lindsey Ross and Tracy Meredith, and a special granddog Bear.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home P.A. with Rev. Joel Beiler officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
