Norman W. "Peanut" Mowbray, Jr., 48, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. He was born in Dorchester County on September 6, 1965 and was a son of Viola Greenwood Mowbray and the late Norman W. Mowbray, Sr.
Norman attended schools in Cambridge. He married the former Sharon Anderson in August of 2000.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Mowbray of Cambridge, his mother Viola Mowbray of Hurlock, his grandmother Margaret Greenwood of Hurlock, stepchildren Nicole Greenwood and Benjamin Vargas, three brothers Steven Greenwood of Hurlock, Keith Mowbray of Hurlock, Jeffrey Mowbray of Princess Anne, a sister Melissa Mowbray of Hurlock and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith Mowbray, Steve Greenwood, Billy Greenwood, David Mowbray, Terri Wyatt, Jose Matos and Glenn Anderson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Greenwood, Levin Bowens and Andy Phillips.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. at East New Market Cemetery with Rev. George W. Wheatley, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends 12 to 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas Funeral Home, P.A., 700 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 to help defray funeral cost.
