Olive Elizabeth Tyler Bramble, 86, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2012 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Cambridge on September 30, 1925 and was a daughter of the late Oliver Preston Tyler and Lillian Roberta Wroten Tyler.
Following graduation from Cambridge High School in 1943, she went to work at Phillips Packing Company Main Office and continued until 1959. She then went to work at Dorchester County Social Services until her retirement in 1987. On March 30, 1991 she married William Otis Bramble who passed away on December 18, 2009. For the last few years, she especially enjoyed meeting her lunch group daily at Sandy Hill Diner.
Mrs. Bramble is survived by two nephews Paul O. Tyler (Barbara) of Cambridge and Neal R. Moore (Ann) of Naples, FL, three nieces Naomi Ruth Eason (Robert) of Georgia, Rose Lippolis (Frank) of Pennsylvania and Eleanor Flanagan of Pennsylvania and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister Alma Moore and three brothers Mowbray S. Tyler, Oliver P. Tyler and Harold W. Tyler. She was also preceded in death by two nieces Margaret Anne Tyler and Mildred Rawleigh.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Moore, Mace Tall, Shane Foxwell, William Abbott, Jeff Saulsbury and Walter Lee Travers.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. A. Delmer Willey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Susan G.
